Todd Coomes

President

Since founding Matrix Construction Services in California in 2004, Todd Coomes has successfully positioned Matrix as one of California’s most prominent general contractors in the multifamily industry. The steady growth of Matrix is attributed to Todd’s strategic vision and the development and placement of key team members who share his commitment and passion. Todd’s continued desire to improve renovation operations led to the implementation of Matrix’s unique business model, practiced in both California and Texas. Todd leads the organization from a position of over 30 years of experience and understanding of the construction industry and multi-family renovation and restoration.

Tim Wisth

Vice President of Operations

Tim Wisth joined Matrix California in 2005. He is a 16-year veteran of the multifamily industry, whose continued growth and development led him to expand his role with Matrix as Vice President of Construction for California. Tim is responsible for overseeing management, estimating, preconstruction services, and project production for all California projects. His leadership abilities and construction knowledge assure clients that they will receive quality work on schedule and within budget.

Jorde Camp

Vice President of Construction

Jorde Camp, Vice President of Construction, oversees all construction operations at Matrix, including capital plumbing and service construction projects. With a strong background in project management and construction technology, Jorde ensures that every project is completed on time, within budget, and up to the highest standards of quality. His practical experience and attention to detail make him a trusted leader in the field, consistently delivering successful outcomes for both clients and the company.

Jorde is a firm believer in the power of teamwork and the value of mentoring the next generation of construction professionals. He leads by example, fostering a culture of collaboration and shared responsibility. Jorde’s hands-on approach and commitment to the principle, “One Team, One Goal,” are central to the way he drives projects forward, ensuring that every team member is aligned and working toward a common objective. His leadership not only strengthens the team but also guarantees that every job is done right the first time.

MJ Caunan

Senior Vice President

MJ oversees the day-to-day operations and the long-term success of Performance Services. He leads his team by example and manages the operations team to help achieve the goals and objectives to help make the company successful. MJ has extensive knowledge of the multifamily industry, having worked in multiple leadership positions. MJ knows what it takes to meet the company’s strategic goals, missions, values, and beliefs.

Chip Gee

Chief Executive Officer

Chip Gee, CEO of Matrix Texas, is a distinguished leader in the business and multifamily industries. With a BSBA from the University of Texas at Dallas, Chip’s unparalleled work ethic and visionary leadership have propelled Matrix to new heights since expanding into Dallas/Ft. Worth in 2015. Adding operations in Houston and Austin has solidified Matrix as one of Texas’ top renovation companies. With a remarkable 33-year career, Chip has a proven track record of driving growth, enhancing operations, and cultivating the next generation of talent. Matrix’s continued success is fueled by Chip’s steadfast commitment to excellence and genuine passion for the industry. Chip’s motto, “Minimize footsteps, maximize results!” reflects his determination to deliver exceptional outcomes for clients and employees.

Jason Kelly

President

Jason Kelly, President of Matrix Texas, brings a wealth of experience, expertise, and an infectious sense of gaiety to his role. With a proud eight-year service in the US Marine Corps and leadership positions in security and multifamily industries, Jason consistently achieves exceptional performance results. Since joining Matrix in 2015, he has ascended to oversee all critical departments within our Texas divisions. Demonstrating a collaborative approach and a breadth of experience in project and business unit management, he has exceeded goals in areas such as organic sales, revenue, and profit while effectively reducing operating costs. Additionally, his lively humor and ability to create a welcoming work environment contribute to making Matrix feel like more than just a job – it’s a home. As Jason always says, “You are only as good as your last job.”

Joyce Stafford

Chief Financial Officer

Joyce’s background in the accounting field spans more than twenty years, with seven of those years specifically working in the construction industry. Throughout all her work experiences, Joyce has been recognized with awards such as employee of the year, most valuable employee, and leading change. Prior to her professional experience, she earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting and is furthering her education by pursuing a master’s degree from the University of Oklahoma. All of her academic and professional achievements combined define Joyce as exceedingly qualified in administering her duties to the highest caliber that adheres to the Matrix model principles. Her role entails all management and oversight accounting responsibilities that contribute to the financial health of the company.

Andy Cordina

Vice President of Marketing & Sales

Andy Cordina brings over 25 years of diverse experience in sales management and business ownership to his role as Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Matrix Construction Services. With a strong focus on the multifamily sector for the past 15 years, Andy has honed a unique perspective that spans both the general contractor and supplier sides of the industry. His hands-on approach and deep industry insight have made him a recognized leader in driving business growth and fostering long-term partnerships.

Throughout his career, Andy has successfully led high-performing teams, developed innovative sales strategies, and built strong client relationships that have resulted in transformative outcomes. His passion for continuous improvement and his commitment to delivering exceptional results align perfectly with Matrix’s vision of elevating client service and expanding into new markets.
