A Sweet Summer Start

With summer temperatures climbing and job sites staying busy, we figured everyone could use a little way to cool down before heading into the long weekend. To help beat the heat, we brought Bahama Buck’s snow cones for our team members to enjoy. It was a fun way to pause during the workday, grab something cold, and spend a few minutes with coworkers before getting back to the day. It was right before we went into the 4th of July, and we wanted to take a moment to recognize the work our team puts in every day.

Bringing the Break Room Some Summer Fun

An hour or so into the afternoon, the break room became the place to be as team members stopped by for Bahama Buck’s sno-cones. With plenty of flavors to choose from, everyone had a chance to grab a treat and enjoy a break from the heat. Small events like this are part of what makes Matrix culture special. They give our team a chance to step away for a few minutes, catch up, and enjoy something fun together. The goal was simple, create a fun moment, show appreciation, and help everyone cool off before the holiday.

Including Our Field Teams

Because many Matrix team members spend their days on job sites, we also made sure the treat could travel. Sno Blasts were available for anyone heading back out to a project so they could take a few frozen to-go sno-cones with them. This gave team members the chance to bring the fun back to their crews and help their teams cool down on site. Our field teams work through long days, changing schedules, and summer heat, and we wanted to make sure they were included in the celebration. We know the work does not just happen in the office. It happens on job sites, in the field, on the road, and everywhere our teams are needed. Having snow cones available was a simple way to share the appreciation beyond our office.

We are always grateful for opportunities to bring our team together. Whether it is a holiday, a company milestone, a team event, or a quick treat in the break room, these moments help build the culture we are proud of. Kicking off the 4th of July weekend with snow cones was a great reminder that even a small break can make a big difference.
