Taking a Look at the Updated Space
Caroline is on the scene to walk through our recently renovated Skydeck lounge, an outdoor amenity that needed a fresh start. The team stepped in to remove outdated fixtures, repair worn areas, and rebuild the layout, so it feels open, clean, and ready for everyday use. The new arrangement supports the way residents gather, move, and spend time in shared spaces.
Clearing Out the Old Layout
The renovation began with removing the original cabinets, countertops, and built-in bench seating. Once the area was cleared, the team repaired the surrounding stucco and prepared the walls for new finishes. These repairs were important, as the previous layout left behind visible wear that affected the overall appearance. Cleaning up the base of the space set the stage for a smooth transition to the updated design.
Installing Outdoor-Ready Features
With demolition complete, Caroline took a closer look at the new outdoor-rated cabinetry and countertop. The cabinets are made from high-density polyethylene, chosen for its durability in sun, heat, and moisture. A new sink, faucet, and beverage refrigerator were installed to support daily use without overcrowding the layout. The updated surfaces give residents practical features while keeping the design simple and functional.
Refreshing Details Throughout the Lounge
Across the lounge, tile received fresh grout and caulk, and electrical outlets were reset to sit cleanly within the wall. Stucco was patched in these areas, followed by a full repaint to tie everything together. These smaller updates help the space feel intentional and well maintained. Caroline highlights how each detail contributes to a finished amenity that looks cared for and supports long-term use.
The New Island Feature
The centerpiece of the renovation is the custom island. The team built a supportive frame and installed a large surface with waterfall edges on both sides. Its size and placement provide valuable counter space and shape the flow of the Skydeck. Caroline points out how this feature works as both a functional upgrade and a visual anchor, bringing balance to the entire lounge.
A Clean and Functional Amenity Ready for Use
To close the walkthrough, Caroline shared a full view of the completed Skydeck. With the old components removed, new materials installed, and the layout fully refreshed, the space is now prepared for regular activity. The renovation improves durability, enhances the resident experience, and gives the amenity a modern presence that supports property value.
